Ghi nhớ: Từ hai âm tiết: danh từ và tính từ thường nhấn âm thứ nhất (ˈrobot, ˈpicture, ˈvillage); động từ thường nhấn âm thứ hai (reˈpair, reˈuse, reˈduce, reˈceive). Có ngoại lệ như exˈam. Trong câu, nhấn các từ nội dung (danh từ, động từ chính, tính từ) và hạ giọng ở cuối câu trần thuật.

Language: ngữ pháp

So sánh hơn / so sánh nhất: tính từ ngắn dùng adj-er than (taller than) và the adj-est (the closest, the oldest, the fastest, the greatest). Sau one of the cũng dùng so sánh nhất: one of the oldest countries.
Mạo từ a / an / the: a trước phụ âm, an trước nguyên âm (an old toy); the khi vật đã nhắc đến hoặc duy nhất (the Moon, the Sun, the Earth).
will / won't + V (dự đoán chắc chắn); might + V (có thể, chưa chắc). Sau might vẫn dùng V nguyên mẫu.
Câu điều kiện loại 1: If + hiện tại đơn, will + V (If we protect our forests, we will help our planet).

Ví dụ. Hoàn thành: If we reuse bottles, ___ (we / save / money).

Mệnh đề If dùng hiện tại đơn nên mệnh đề chính dùng will + V.
we will save money.

Kết quả: If we reuse bottles, we will save money.

In my future house, a robot will do the housework, but it won't cook, because I love cooking. We might have a helicopter on the roof. If it is sunny, we will use solar energy. My robot is the cheapest and the smartest in the shop. It can water the plants, and it can repair broken things. It can't understand feelings, so I will always talk to my family myself.

Bài đọc thứ hai (chủ đề "What will our houses in the future be like?"): Homes of the future will be green. Many will get power from the sun or the wind. People will give orders to their houses by voice, so life will be easier. Because there will be too many people and not enough land, some families will live underground, in the air, or even on other planets.

Em có thể tự làm một "nhật ký xanh": mỗi ngày ghi lại một việc nhỏ em đã làm cho môi trường, như dùng chai dùng lại hoặc tắt đèn khi ra khỏi phòng. Sau một tháng, em sẽ thấy mình đã tạo được thói quen tốt.
